Standards for serious participation.
The language below is a proposed starting point. It does not establish adopted Center policy.
Proposed conduct principles
Address the substance of an argument. Represent another person’s reasoning fairly, give reasons for disagreement, and remain willing to revise a claim. Participation should support learning and the ability to work constructively together.
Proposed moderation guidance would prohibit harassment, threats, exposure of private information, and repeated disruption. It should define how concerns are reported, who decides them, and how a participant can request review.
Decision needed: final prohibited-conduct definitions, escalation contacts, appeal procedure, and consequences.
Proposed editorial principles
Submissions should make a coherent case, distinguish evidence from interpretation, credit sources, and engage serious objections. Authors should identify material they do not have permission to publish and disclose relevant conflicts.
The Forum reviews manuscripts and may request Organization review. Required clearance and final Forum approval apply to the version proposed for publication. Substantive later changes require renewed review.
Public corrections should make meaningful changes intelligible to readers. Publication does not by itself establish an official organizational position.
Decision needed: final editorial criteria, copyright and submission terms, correction rules, and treatment of assisted writing.
Privacy choices to preserve
Public biography and published contributions are separate from a member’s private directory profile. Directory contact information is shared with eligible active members. Private sign-in details, application records, review notes, and learning work do not become public profile content.
Application information should be available only to the applicant and currently authorized reviewers. Operational notices should take people to the relevant record without copying confidential content into broad previews.
Decision needed: responsible organization and privacy contact, privacy terms, service providers, retention periods, deletion and access requests, and account recovery.
Your account and saved work
Sign-in is verified using Google or an email code. Saved work is stored with your account. Private learning attempts are shared with a reviewer only when you request feedback. Application and editorial records are restricted to their owners and authorized reviewers.
